William Delbert Hopkins

William Delbert Hopkins, 78, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Hopkins was born in New Hanover County, North Carolina, on June 13, 1945, to the late Delbert Uzelle Hopkins and Iona Ruth Herring Hopkins.

He attended Davidson County Community College and was founder of Quality Assured Services Company in 1976 until his retirement in 1995. Mr. Hopkins enjoyed hunting, fishing golfing and was an airplane pilot as well as a boat captain.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, and two sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory is his wife Julia Hopkins, one son Jerry Wayne Hopkins (Sarah), one step-daughter Jackie Lynn Rapier, one brother JT Hopkins (Dru) all of Lexington and one grandchild Ashley Lynn Barnette (Magnum) and one great grandchild Bella Grace Barnette.

Services will be Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Forest Hill Memorial Park, Chapel of Light at 2:00pm.  Visiting with family and friends will be immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Health Well Foundation for AML, PO Box 489, Buckeystown, MD 21717.
