William Ray Bess, 48, of Lexington, North Carolina went home to be with the Lord on August 18, 2023.
Mr. Bess was born June 25, 1975, in Davidson County, North Carolina to William Ray Davis and Sonja Kay Howe Bess Branham
He was preceded in death by his father William Ray Davis and his grandparents Kathryn Howe and Forest Howe.
Mr. Bess worked as a metal handler in the metal rack assembly for Tier-Rack Corp. He was of the Pentecostal Faith. He attended North Davidson High School. He was a dedicated employee who always showed up for work. He had a love for skate boarding, his favorite restaurant was Christo’s on Main Street, and he absolutely loved N.C. State the Wolfpack.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother Sonja Bess Branham, his stepfather, James Franklin Branham, one son Alex McIntyre of Lexington, one brother, James Branham (Christine) of Lexington, two sisters Tonya Branham (the late Robert ) of Lexington, Loretta Parker (Michael) of Trinity.
The family will have a gathering of family and friends on Thursday, August 24, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at Davie Burial Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, August 25, 2023, at 1:30 pm at Freedom Baptist Church, Tommy Robbins will officiate. Following the funeral service, Mr. Bess will be laid to rest at the Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family wishes to thank his very special friend, Jesse Jennings, for he was an angel in disguise and special thanks to Mike Walker and Stephanie Conrad for showing our son so much love and help in the time of his life when he needed it the most. For sometimes we entertain angels unaware for you see our son was that angel. (Hebrews 13:2)
