Wendy Michelle (Jones) Keene

Wendy Michelle (Jones) Keene, 39, gained her wings on Friday, September 6, 2019. Born May 17, 1980. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and friend to all. She gave the purest of love and kindness to all that was blessed to be in her presence.

Wendy was of Baptist faith. She worked in the nursing home industry as a activity coordinator at Carollion Assisted Living for more than three years and she loved her job.

Surviving her are her husband, Derrick Keene; son, Justin Harper; grandson, Kingston Harper; father, Ricky Jones and wife, Sharon and their children, Jessica Keene, Chasity Huneycutt, Thomas Keene; mother, Debbie Jones; half sister, Christy Pyrtle; grandmother, Jenna Mae Kirk; grandfather, Paul Jones and wife, Ethel; and best friend, Jerona Triglaff; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Heaven’s Gate Church on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM. A celebration of life service will be held at Heaven’s Gate Church on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ken Norman officiating. Interment will follow immediately after the service to Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church of Thomasville.
