Tony Dwayne Byrd

Tony Dwayne Byrd, 59, of Lexington, NC, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist High Point Medical Center.

He was born September 26, 1964, in Guilford County, North Carolina, to the late Jackson Lee Byrd and Brenda Jo Wilson Byrd.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Sandra Byrd, and his dog, Heidi.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Herring Byrd; two sons, Anthony “Boy” Byrd (Stacy), Johnny “Bubba” Byrd (Tabbi); one daughter, Christy “Sissy” Apostolopoulos (George); two brothers, Joey Byrd (Christa), Shawn Byrd; eight grandchildren, Haden, Elsa, Emily, Hunter, Sofia, Aaron, Brooklyn, Liam; and his two dogs, Peppa and Rusty.

Tony was of the Baptist faith and worked for Comer Trucking as a Truck Driver.

He loved his music.  He could play any instrument put in his hands.  He loved his dogs, Peppa and Rusty.

The family will have a time of visitation with family and friends, on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Davie Burial and Cremation Chapel of Lexington. The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm in the chapel.
