Tamara Ann (Gillespie) Akers

Tamara Ann Gillespie Akers, age 37 of Lexington passed away on August 20, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Akers was born in Davidson County, North Carolina on August 5, 1984, to Kenneth Gray Gillespie and Mary Ann Wood Gillespie.

 She was never employed. She attended Lexington Senior High School.  She is a member of Freedom Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents Dollie and Mary Wood.  

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jack Timothy Akers, Jr. of the home, her mother, Mary Wood Gillespie, one brother, Christopher Gillespie of Michigan, and one sister, Kimberly Gillespie of Florida.  

Celebration of Life service will be Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 2:00pm – Freedom Baptist Church – Preacher Clyde Akers and Rev. Doug McGee will be officiating.  Family will see friends and family from 1:00pm – 2:00pm at the church.
