Sandra Kay Southard, of Winston-Salem/Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away May 5, 2023 at Lexington Healthcare.
Miss Southard was born January 6, 1956 in Forsyth County, to George Lee Southard and Margaret Templeton Southard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Kathy Blankenship and a niece Bobbie Kaye Blankenship.
Miss Southard attended Forsyth Schools and Salem College. She worked in retail as a clerk for Target for many years. She was a very political person. Sandra was the sweetest person and would do anything for anybody. She loved her family dearly and cherished holidays and get togethers with everyone. When she saw her great great nephew JJ her eyes lit up and she talked about him everyday and was always asking to see photos of him and her other nieces and nephews.
Left to cherish her memory are two nieces Loray Brubaker (Joshua Hutchins) of Lexington, Chrissie Schoolcraft of Oklahoma, two nephews Sean Blankenship of Greensboro, Brandon Blankenship (Celeste) of High Point, great nieces Haley, Eve, Raina, great nephews Kaleb (Deanna), Jordan, Wesley, Zealind, Dakota (Makenzie), Chandler and a great great nephew Jorden “aka” JJ.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 1:00pm in the Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston.
