Ronal Lee Rapier, 67, of Lexington passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, N.C.
Ronal was born October 1, 1954, in Charleston West WV and the son of Eugene Paul and Eloise Cook of Winston-Salem, N.C.
Mr. Rapier worked at Owens-Illinois as a supervisor for more than twenty years. He attended Forsyth Co. Schools -Reynolds High School and obtained an Associate Degree from San Antonio College. Mr. Rapier served our country as a Paratrooper for the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Amvets NC Post 13. He was a wonderful husband and cherished his wife. He loved his family, his Jack Russell, Annie, working in his yard, hunting, fishing and camping and at one time he did metal fabricating.
He was proceeded in death by his mother, Eloise Rapier.
Mr. Rapier leaves behind his loving wife, Jackie Potts Rapier of twenty plus years, his father, Eugene Rapier, Sr. of Winston-Salem, , one son: Jayson Lee Rapier and his fiancé Robin Lynn Anderson of Lexington, one step daughter: Ashley Lynn Brown Barnette and her husband Magnum Barnette of Lexington, two brothers: Gregory (Greg) Rapier and his wife Darlene Deflorio Rapier of Lexington, Gene Rapier Jr. of Parkville, Maryland, three grandchildren: Carrie Denise Rapier, Austin Lee Rapier, Bella Grace Barnette of Lexington, Mother-in-law and Father-in-law: Julia and Bill Hopkins of Lexington, and a special family member: Brandi Everhart Rapier of Lexington, two nieces: Ashley Rapier of Lexington, Jennifer Rapier Richardson and her husband, Shawn Richardson of Hilton Head, N.C.) of Hilton Head, N.C., great-nieces: Carson and Collins Richardson and a great-nephew Jake Richardson of Hilton Head, N.C.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 9th at 3:00PM at Forest Hill Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel of Light from 2:00PM to 3:00PM prior to the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, family (Wife), request that memorials be made to St. Judes Hospital
