Robert Lee Wood I 76, of Denton died on November 27, 2022 at his home.
He was born September 19, 1946 in Catawba County, NC, to John Wood and Lena Casey Wood.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Jessica Lea Wood, brother Floyd Wood and a sister Janey Hughes.
Mr. Wood leaves behind his loving wife Brenda Kay Davis Wood, two sons Robert Wood II (Amy) of Denton, Scott Wood (Jaime) of Asheboro, three brothers Doug Wood (Joyce) of Stewart, Va., Leon (Billie) of Welcome, Wayne (Carolyn) of Linwood, one sister Susie Wood of Southmont, seven grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren.
Robert worked in the Furniture Industry as a maintenance worker for Lexington Home Brands. He attended Davidson County schools. Mr. Wood served our country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and races.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022 at Davie Funeral & Cremation Chapel at 2:00pm. Pastor Robert Wood II will be officiating.
