Robert Lee Holcomb from Richwood, W.V. went home to be with the Lord following an extended illness. Robert was loved by many and was sure to greet everyone with a smile. He knew many people, all of which he would do anything for. He was known to be someone who would “Give you the shirt off his back.” He enjoyed collecting antiques and working with his hands, was an A-1 mechanic, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. He lived for his puppies. They were his soul mates, especially “Bailey.” He enjoyed nothing more than having a house full of family and friends.
Mr. Holcomb is preceded in death by his mother Virginia Young Holcomb Chapman, father Haymond Holcomb, and step-father Richard Chapman. Sisters, Mary Ann, Suzetta Lynn, and Sandra. As well as a special nephew, Robbie “Little Robert” Holcomb and step-son Jodie Jenkins.
Robert leaves behind his loving wife Margaret “Squeak” Children: Aaron “Hippy” Holcomb and Cody (wife-Danicka) Holcomb of Richwood, W.V. James (wife-Amanda) Tharp of Cleveland, O.H. Josh (wife-Filishea) Bragg and Jeannie (husband-Joey) Brown of Lexington, N.C.
Loving brothers and sisters include, Tommy, Haymond, Timmy, Bill (wife-Clarice), Steve (wife-Cindy) and Johnny (wife-Rose) Holcomb, Lynda Westfall and Marie Gothard, all of Richwood, West Virginia.
Precious Grandchildren include: Aubrey, Jaxton, and Falyn of Richwood, W.V. ; Sayla , Eli, Tyler, Nathan and Patrick of Cleveland, O.H.; Timothy of Bluefield, W.V. And Vinton of Ranielle, W.V.; Denzil (wife-Tenesta) Brooks of Craigsville, W.V., Ceanna Jenkins of Richmond, V.A.; Regina (husband-Tony) Justice, Franklin Jenkins, and Kaitlyn Brown, all of Lexington N.C. Great-grandchildren include: Rilyn, Sofia Grace, and Kason. All of which, will miss Robert dearly.
Simons-Coleman Funeral Home in West Virginia will be providing services for the family. The viewing will be held on Friday, December 18th from noon-1pm and 1pm-2pm for friends and loved ones. The funeral will be held for all at 2 p.m. Afterwards, Robert will be buried at Nettie-Fairview Cemetery.
