Richard Harry Hertig Sr

Richard Harry Hertig Sr, 39, of Lexington passed away April 30, 2023.

He leaves behind three beautiful children; Ma’Leigha Smith, Richie Hertig Jr, and Cooper Wayne Hertig, his parents, Ken and Donna Varner of Lexington, one brother, Steven Hertig and one nephew, Korbin Hertig.

He was preceded in death by his little brother, Staff Sargent Christopher Hertig.  We rejoice knowing they are in perfect peace, together playing beautiful music for the Lord.  No more sorrow and no more pain.

Richard was an organ donor and saved four lives with his heart, liver, and kidneys.  We pray for God’s plan for these families he helped to save.  Romans 8:28.

The family will have a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 12 noon, at Westside Baptist Church in Lexington, with Pastor Jason Koontz, officiating.
