Reba Jane (Payne) Sholtz

Reba Jane Sholtz, 78, passed away late Wednesday evening, August 8, 2018, at Thomasville Medical Center. She is a native of Hamilton County, Tennessee, born July 16, 1940, the daughter of the late Gid and Vera Ann Payne. She is preceded in death by two sisters, Charlene Gillion and Barbara Johnson. She attended Soddy-Daisy High School. She was a faithful member at Leonard Road Baptist Church. She retired from Dixie Furniture, where she was a sprayer in the furniture business.  Those left to cherish her memories are three sons, R.L. Sholtz Jr. (Linda), Roger Sholtz Sr. (Jonqul), and Steve Sholtz (Jennifer) of Lexington; two brothers, Gid Payne Jr. (Brenda), and David Payne both of Lexington; one grandson Roger Sholtz Jr. (Erin); and one great granddaughter Caroline Sholtz. Funeral Service will be officiated by the Rev Tommy Helper and Preacher Clyde Akers, at Leonard Road Baptist Church, Friday, August 10, 2018 at 2:00 Pm, with the visitation one hour prior to the service.
