Nancy Pauline Smith Wade, 71, passed away July 14, 2023 at the Hinkle Hospice House.
Mrs. Wade was born on February 26, 1952, in Davidson County, NC, to the late James Floyd Smith, Sr. and Juanita Waller Smith. She was a 1970 graduate of Lexington Senior High School and earned her accounting degree from DCCC and High Point College. She worked in the Bank/Financial Industry as an accountant for Ilderton Dodge/ Chrysler Jeep. Mrs. Wade was a member of Freedom Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, worked in children’s church, was on the food committee for deceased families and many other functions within the church and her community. Her interests were crocheting and her grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and a grandson Stephen Eugene Wade.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Clifton Daniel Wade, a son, Jonathan Daniel Wade (Jennifer) of Lexington, a daughter Sabrina Kay Barnette (Carlin) of Lexington, two brothers James Edward Smith (Jeanette). Larry Wayne Smith ((Marie) a sister Barbara Ann Smith Allen (Harry Sr), ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and the mother of two of her grandchildren, Dana wade.
A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 2:00pm at Freedom Baptist Church in Lexington, with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating the service.
