Nancy Layman Jarvis, 72, of Lexington, North Carolina passed away peacefully May 7, 2023, after a long illness.
She is survived by her loving sons, Chuck of Lexington and Richie of Boise, Idaho. She will be missed by her beloved brother Kenny Layman (Cindy) as well as nieces Amanda (Scott) and Salie, and nephews Adam (Ayanna and their daughter A’lizah), Varney, and Ishmael. She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Florence Everhart Layman, husband Charles, beloved sister Julie, and little brother Don.
She retired at 55 and enjoyed many years of traveling, birding, and hiking with her sons. She rescued and cared for many cats over the years. She lived a life dedicated to peace, kindness, and compassion.
A private memorial will take place in Westfield at the home of her brother where her son had provided 24/7 care for her.
She enjoyed many trips to Hanging Rock State Park and the many other beautiful destinations in the area.
