Mary Ellen Craven

Mary Ellen Craven, 53, went home to be with the Lord, early Tuesday morning, March 19, 2019 at Lexington Medical Center. A native of Forsyth County, Ms. Craven was born May 30, 1965, a daughter, born to the late Roy Smith Craven and Mrs. Alma Maxine Simerson Craven Lacourse. Other than her father she is preceded in death by an infant son; two brothers, Carlton Lee Craven, Brian Todd Craven; and a sister, Pamela Joy Craven.

Mary attended Reeds Baptist Church. She graduated from Stoner Thomas School. She worked for more than thirty years at Workshop of Davidson in the workshop department.

Along with her mother, Maxine, Mary is survived by a sister, Rhonda Craven of Denton, aunt Reba Craven, uncle Rives Craven and his wife Brenda, as well as several other cousins. 

The Celebration of Life Service will be held in the chapel of Davie Burial & Cremation in Lexington on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 2:30 PM. The family will be receiving friends and loved ones from 1:30 PM– 2:30 PM. Pastor Freddie Moretz will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers all donations can be made to the funeral home to help cover funeral expenses. The family would like to extend a special thank you to DSS, and Mount Vista Health Park for all you've done.
