Marty Dean Smith

Marty Dean “Monk” Smith, 53, of Lexington, North Carolina passed away on October 26, 2023 at Atrium Health – Wake Forest Baptist - Winston-Salem.

He was born August 31, 1970, in Rowan County to Lee Adam Smith and the late Belinda Carol Bumgarner.

Mr. Smith was a graduate of West Davidson High School and was employed as a machinist.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Lee Smith; his wife, Selena and her children; one brother Corey Lee Smith (Cassie); and step father Chuck Nifong.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
