Linda Gail Phillips, 68, died Wednesday afternoon at Forsyth Medical Center in Forsyth County, North Carolina. A native of Durham, North Carolina, Linda was born June 21, 1950, a daughter to the late Andrew Lewis Newcomb and Annie Laura Moses Newcomb. Preceded in death other than her father are a brother, Jackie A. Newcomb.
Linda graduated from West Davidson High. She worked in the Cotton industry for more than ten years as a Inspector in sewing at Quality Embroidery
Those left to cherish her memory are a loving husband of twenty-four years, Lennie Rogers Phillips of Lexington; a son, Tony Phillips of Winston Salem; four daughters, Genia Kivette of Wilmington, Cindy Laverdiere (BJ) of Wilmington, Charlotte West (Kenny) of Lexington, Melissa Salazar of Linwood; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
The service will be at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 6261 Hwy 8, Lexington, NC 27295 at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 12, 2019.
