Linda Kay Mecimore, 73, died on early Sunday morning December 15, 2019. A native of Davidson County, she was born on August 25, 1946, a daughter to the late couple Emanuel Lafayette Everhart and Mary Fritts Everhart. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, Rayvon Everhart, and a sister, Betty Fowler.
Linda was a graduate of North Davidson High School. She worked as a inspector inspecting bags at Rex Rosenlobe where she retired after fourteen years. She was a faithful member of Psalm 91 Church.
She leaves behind a husband of fifty-three years, Mr. Garland Russell Mecimore; a son, Russell Mecimore of Lexington; a daughter, Belinda Stiers (David) of Lexington; two sisters, Sylvia Baugus (Pete) of Lexington, Jean Meredith of High Point; five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday December 20, 2019 at 6:00 PM at Psalms 91 Church. Rev. Max Shoaf, Rev. Dale Grim, and Rev. Glen Dustin will be officiating. Friends and loved ones may pay their respects one hour prior to the service.
