Kenneth Leroy Huffman

Kenneth Leroy Huffman, age 78, of Lexington, N.C. passed away January 19, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Health Lexington Medical Hospital.

Mr. Huffman was born on August 10, 1942 in Davie Co. the son of the late James Monroe Huffman and Josephine Draughn Huffman.

Mr. Huffman was a retired fork-lift operator for PPG Industries where he worked for 23 years. He attended Davie County Schools, and he was a member of Pilgrim Freewill Baptist Church.  Mr. Huffman loved church work, wood working and sitting by a warm fire.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Josephine Huffman, His wife Gloria Jean Huffman, a son, Kenneth Huffman Jr., three brothers, Avery Huffman, David Huffman, Joe Huffman and one sister, Elaine Colour.

Left to cherish his memory is two sons, Jeffrey Scott Huffman of Lexington, Michael Yarbrough (Cathy) of Lexington, two brothers, Alan Huffman (Rita) of Lexington, Steve Huffman (Jeanie) of Lexington, three sisters, Betty Byerly (Eugene) of Lexington, Judy Boles (Donny) of Mocksville, Pat Hawks of Greensboro, six grandchildren, Jeffrey Huffman Jr., Joshua Huffman (Margie), Breanna Stevens (Mark), Lena Vawter (Derek), Taylor Lundsford (Marcus), Zack Collins (Breanna) and ten great grandchildren.

Gathering of family and friends will be, Saturday, January,23, 2021 at Pilgrim Freewill Baptist Church, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 1:00 pm with the Rev. James Messer, Jr. officiating.

For those who would like to attend the service but are not comfortable assembling in the church you are welcome to listen to the service from your car on station 88.1 FM. In the church parking lot.
