Karen Blanche (Hinerman) McGlumphy

Karen H. McGlumphy of Lexington, NC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Forsyth Medical Center.

Karen was born November 27, 1941 at Glover Gap, WV, the baby of 11 children to James Francis and Mabel Frances Hinerman.

Karen was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her family and will be missed by all who knew her.  She was a member of Good Hope Methodist Church.

Surviving is her beloved husband of 62 years, Ralph Kay McGlumphy, of Lexington, NC, her son, Brad (Alicia) McGlumphy of Linwood, NC, her daughter, Lisa (Dennis) Hayes of Fairmont, WV.  Also surviving are her three grandchildren, Brandon (Kristin) McGlumphy, of Lexington, NC, Macy (Josh) Stewart, of Fairmont, WV and Ashley McGlumphy and her fiancé Brandon Warrington, of Lexington, NC.  Karen is also survived by her three great grandchildren, Evan and Erin McGlumphy of Lexington, NC and Quinn Stewart of Fairmont, WV.  Also surviving are a sister and a brother.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, 8 siblings and her grandson, Samuel Hayes.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 11:00am at Good Hope Methodist Church, with Pastor Johnny Lord presiding.  Friends are welcome to visit at the home.
