Joshua Raymond Merrill

Joshua Raymond Merrill, 46, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at his home.

He was born August 14, 1978 in Medina, New York.

Joshua graduated from Central Davidson High School and received an Associates Degree from Davidson County Community College.  He was employed by Atrium Windows and Doors for the past fifteen years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Robert Merrill; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Dorothy Merrill; and his maternal grandparents, Warren and Elsie Saul.

Survivors include his mother, Cynthia Saul Merrill; two brothers, Johnny Sponaugle, Justin Merrill (Karen Harden); two sisters, Theresa Ottaviano (Frank), Heather Merrill; seven nieces, Kalei Merrill, Chasity Asbury, Nola Asbury, Natasha Shingleton, Samantha Hackenberg, Kelsey Sponaugle, Jessica Ottaviano; six nephews, Brandon Sponaugle, Jesse Sponaugle, TJ Hackenberg, Justin Ottaviano, Evan Ottaviano, Jake Sponaugle; seven great nieces, Jazmyn Myers, Riley Johnson, Amanda Ottaviano, Kylie Sponaugle, Emma Sponaugle, Maci Sponaugle, Reign Sponaugle; six great nephews, Isaiah Monicure, Jaiden Myers, Jackson Asbury, Easton Merrill, BB Ottaviano, Colt Sponaugle; and numerous other family members and friends.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
