Joseph Albert Raymond Boileau

Joseph Albert Raymond Boileau, 91, of Lexington, NC, passed away January 27, 2024 at his home with his family by his side.

Raymond was born on June 13, 1933, in Hemmingford, Canada to the late Wilfrid Boileau and Eva Marie Labranche Boileau.

He was born a Catholic but was saved in 1976 at Trindale Baptist Church.  He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, cooking, and spending time with his dogs.  He had an infectious laugh and loved to make people laugh. 

He served in the United States Army from 1951-1955 as a Paratrooper in the 11th Repel Company, 11th Airborne Division.   He served on the front line in the Korean Conflict.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Raymond Albert Boileau Jr., Thomas Dean Boileau; one grandson, Jeremy Boileau; five sisters; and four brothers.

Survivors include his sons, Duke Alan Boileau (Phillus) and Bruce Alton Boileau (Shelia); three daughters, Rayella Denise Byrd (Daniel), Donnet Frank (Freddie), Crystal Loyd (Ricky); one sister, Jacqueline LaRoche; ten grandchildren, Doug, Acie, Jason, Diana, Melissa, Heather, Carly, Leslie, Courtney, Wyatt; fourteen great grandchildren; and his four dogs, Pepe, Sissy, Keisha, and Snooze.

The family will have a Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 1:00pm at Heaven’s Gate Full Gospel Church, at 100 Rolling Park Drive, Lexington, NC 27295, with the Rev. Ken Norman, officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro.
