Johnny Ray Paige passed away January 2, 2023 at Thomasville Medical Center.
He was born July 27, 1942 to Robert and Annie Paige, who preceded him in death.
Johnny proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp and was a faithful member of Currytown Baptist Church.
He loved his family and spending time with them. He was loving dad, devoted husband, a brother and loyal friend, but the title he was most proud of was Grandpa.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Walser Paige, sisters, Earline Hanes and husband Steve, Joann Everhart, sisters in law, Carolyn Weaver and Georgia (Susie) Ballew, and a brother in law, Norman Henderson.
He is survived by daughters and sons in law, Wanda and Steven Worley, Tammy and Dr. Ronald Adams, granddaughters, Anna and Emily Worley, whom he called his pride and joy; his wife, Sharon Martin Paige, her daughters, Sherri (Chris) Biesecker and Ami (Kenny) Jarrett, four step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren; sisters, Linda Henderson, Joyce (Steve) Williams, a brother, Bobby Paige; special life-long friends, we call family, Glenn and Joye Coley and Lawrence and Roma Lanier.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Currytown Baptist Church from 6pm to 8pm.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Currytown Baptist Church at 2pm, with Pastor Mike McDaniel, officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be made to Meals on Wheels c/o DC Senior Services MOW, 555 B West Center St Ext. Lexington, NC 27292.
