Jerry Tex Hufton Sr., 72, passed away Wednesday afternnon, August 15, 2018, at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is a native of Davidson County, born June 19, 1946, a son to the late Edward Paul and Mary Francis Hufton. He is preceded in death by a brother, Randy Hufton, and a son, Thomas Hufton.
He attended the Old Cecil School in Lexington. He retired from Speedy’s BBQ where he worked as a cook in the food industry for more than thirty two years.
Those left to cherish his memories are a son, Jerry T. Hufton Jr. (Regina) of Winston-Salem; two daughters, Wendy Hufton Smith (Aaron) and Lisa Hufton Snider (Michael) both of Lexington; a brother, Johnny Hufton (Dora) of Lexington; a sister Vikki Holcomb of Winston-Salem; three grandchildren, Dravon Hufton, Brandon Brinkley, and Aaliyah Brinkley.
