Jeffery Allen Hutchens, 56, of Lexington, entered in the presence of Heaven, on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born July 28, 1966, in Wayne County, North Carolina, to Harold Lewis Hutchens and the late Sandra Smith Hutchens.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Hutchens, and his grandparents, John and Dorothy Smith and Ruby Martin Poole.
Mr. Hutchens leaves behind, one daughter, Kalyssa Hutchens, his Soul Mate, Tammy Rhodes and her children, Miranda Dennis (Dakota) and Savannah Rhodes, one brother, Dale Hutchens, four sisters, Donna Nichols (Nicky), Dorothy Lewis (Michael), Scarlet Burchette, and Tammy Hutchens, two dogs, Nala and Bell (known as his grandchildren), and lots of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jeff was self-employed, as an Installer of sports equipment for High Rock Installation. He was a graduate of the Davidson County School System. Jeff was a devoted member of First Reformed United Church of Christ. He served as a Deacon and as Head Usher, all while being very active and involved in his church.
Jeff enjoyed playing cards, fishing, hunting, camping, canning, and spending time with his family, especially his daughter, who was the light of his life.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, November 5, 2022, from 6pm to 8pm at First Reformed United Church of Christ in Lexington and a Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at First Reformed United Church of Christ in Lexington beginning at 3:30pm.
