James "Jim" Byron Lawrence

James “Jim" Byron Lawrence, 73, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024 at his home.

He was born April 22, 1951 in Davidson County, North Carolina to the late, William McKiver Lawrence and Betty Louise Horne Lawrence.

Jimmy served in the United States Marine Corp.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jean Lawrence; and one brother, William Franklin Lawrence.

Survivors include his son, Brad Lawrence (Elizabeth); his daughter, Terri Montes (Camerino); four sisters, Cathy Burns, Diana Stanford, Deborah Watkins, Joy Means; four grandchildren, Maya Lawrence, Anahi Ibanez, Ashley Ibanez, Felix Ibanez; and one great grandchild, Oliver Dupre.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, at the residence of his daughter, Terri Montes.
