James Ricky Foster

James Ricky Foster, 76, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center. A Memorial Gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Davie Burial and Cremation of Lexington. The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.

He was born October 27, 1947 in Davidson County to the late James Raynard and Mary Kepley Foster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister in law, Vickie Foster.

James graduated from West Davidson High School and Mississippi College. He was a proud veteran who served his country in the US Marines and retired from AIC Insulation of Greensboro, after more than 20 years of service.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Debra Brown Foster; 2 children, Ashley Foster Lambert and Jon Foster (Misty Kimel); 2 brothers, Phil Foster and Chris Foster (Susan); 1 sister, Teena Walker and 3 grandchildren, William Eli Lambert, Dillon Foster Lambert and Miles Henry Foster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Senior Services of Lexington or the Life Center of Lexington.
