Howard Garret Fine "Bonz"

Howard Garret Fine “Bonz”, 60, of Lexington, North Carolina passed away on September 5, 2023, at the Hinkle Hospice House.

Mr. Fine was born August 17, 1963, in Davidson County, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his father Howard Dwayne Fine, and his grandparents Sam & Mazel Bailey and Grady & Nellie Fine.

Mr. Fine was a self- employed carpenter. He attended Central High School and was of the Baptist faith.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Barbara Marie Bailey Johnson and his step-father J.C. Johnson, two sisters, Kelly Brown (Jeff) of New Bern, Kathy Lankford (Jimmy) of Lexington, a step-brother Joey Johnson of Lexington, nieces and nephews, Alisha, Chris, Tabitha, Nikki and Jordan, as well as numerous great- nieces, great nephews, cousins and special friends. He is also survived by aunts, Ruby Fine of Denton, Brenda Hill (Ronnie), Martha Myers of Lexington and an uncle Clyde Bailey (Sara) of Thomasville.  

The family will have a gathering of family and friends on Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 2:00pm to 3:00pm, at Davie Burial and Cremation Chapel in Lexington. Service will follow at 3:00pm with Pastor Mitch Wilson officiating.

The family asks in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hinkle Hospice House of Davidson Co.
