Henry Darrell Heath

   Henry Darrell Heath, age 85 of Lexington, NC, passed away on July 21, 2022, at his home in Davidson County.

   Henry was born on June 14, 1937, in Smith County, VA.  He was the son of the late Marvin C. Heath and Naomi Mildred (Gallahon) Heath.  In addition to his mother and father, Henry was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Gayle Ayers and his brother, Porter Everette Heath.

   In life, Henry attended schools in Virginia.  He later chose a career in the auto mechanic industry where he worked as a mechanic.  He worked for 27 years before retiring.  Henry was of the Christian faith and attended church at Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church.  He was an artist and loved to make clocks, he was an excellent mechanic and enjoyed working in his shop.

   Henry leaves behind to cherish his memory, a daughter, Linda Covington of Denton, NC, a brother, Buddy Heath, two sisters, Patsy Wagg and Peggy Burkett, four grandchildren, Myranda King (Alan), Elizabeth Setliff (Terry), Justin Ayers, and Amanda Ayers, and eight great grandchildren, Eleanor King and Arthur King, Teresa Setliff, Edward, Landon, Bella, Chasmin, and Kylie. 

   On Thursday, July 28, a visitation for Henry will be held from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church.  Following visitation at 12:00 pm a memorial service will take place.  Rev. Doug McGee and Pastor Gary Brown will officiate the service.  Henry will be laid to rest in Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
