Gary Gorney Obituary

Gary William Gorney, age 78, of Lexington, N.C. passed away October 26, 2020 at Wake Forest Medical Center of Lexington.

Mr.Gorney was born on January 12, 1942 in Erie Co., Pa., the son of Walter Gorney and Marie Brady Gorney.

Mr.Gorney was a machine operator for a Tool & Dye company for forty years. He attended Academy School in Erie, Pa. and Pauly High school in California as well as attending college. He was a big Steelers Fan and loved flea marketing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Marie Gorney, as well as two brothers, Walter and Anthony Gorney, and one sister, Kathy Gorney.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cindy Lou Newton Gorney, three daughters, Senna Bortz of Lexington, Peggy Weebe (Shane) of California and Chrisy Gorney (Steve) of California, two sisters, Gail of Pa. and Delta Martone of Pa. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
