Gary Hill Everhart age 77 of Lexington passed away June 22, 2021. Heaven gained a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great- Grandfather and friend. Gary was born on May 21, 1944 to Paul Everhart, Sr. and Lemmie Sue Lanning Everhart of Davidson County. Gary was a faithful leader at Maple Grove Church of the Brethren for over 40 years.
He was the owner of Gary’s Motor Company for 55 years; where he worked along side his beloved son, Craig. Gary was a true role model of how a person should be. He never met a stranger and was always the first to help anyone that needed it. He touched so many and will be greatly missed.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Paul Everhart Jr. and Myra Lemly. He is survived by his wife, Joann Everhart, his son, Craig Everhart (Kim), his grandchildren, Courtney Swicegood (Jeremy), Brianna Everhart (Heather) and the center of his world, great-granddaughter, Aria Grace Swicegood.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 3rd, 2021 at 11:00am at Maple Grove Church of the Brethren, with a one hour visitation prior to the service. Pastor Jeremiah Beasley and Rev. Dr. Tim Sink will be officiating.
