Floyd Eugene Clark, 73, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Lexington Medical Center. A native of Davidson County, he was born October 16, 1944, to the late James Gudger and Maddie Smith Clark. He was also preceded in death by six brothers: Tony, Amos, Ray, James, William and Paul, and one sister, Mildred.
After graduation from high school, he served honorably in the United States Army and received the National Defense Service Medal. He also attended Davidson County Community College. In 2017, he retired after 24 years as owner/operator of Davidson Trailer Repair.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Sharon Christa (Culler) Clark; son, Christopher Eugene Clark (Carol) of Lexington; daughter, Connie Clark McBride (Phillip) of Lexington; brothers, Herbert Clark and Smith Clark (Louise), both of Lexington; sister, Cleo Hutchins of Winston-Salem; and grandson, Spencer McBride.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 2, at Davie Burial & Cremation Service Chapel in Lexington. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the time of service.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Emergency Department at Lexington Medical Center for the care and attentiveness they gave Floyd. Memorials may be considered to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
