Ella Barbara Kinyoun Cooke, age 87 of Denton, N.C. passed away July 16, 2020 at Hospice of Randolph County.
Mrs. Cooke was born on September 4,1932 in Wilkes County the daughter of the late Hugh Lemley and Stella Ann Lowery Kinyoun.
Mrs. Cooke was self-employed and owned her own daycare business for twenty-five years. She attended Granville Elementary School. She attended First Assembly Church of God in Lexington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cemon Wilson Cooke, Sr., a son, Buddy Gray Cooke Jr., a grandchild, Jeffery Gray Cooke, three brothers and three sisters.
Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Debra LeMasters (Mike) of Denton, N.C. and three sons, Dana “Danny” Cooke (Donna) of Lexington, Terry F. Cooke (Debbie Lee) of Trinity and Phil Cooke of Lexington.. Nine grandchildren, Shawn, Chase, Keely, Terry Jr.”Noonie”,Evan Adam, and Austin Cooke, as well as Bethany Thompson (Trent), Sarah LeMasters and Brandon Holleman. She also has nine great grandchildren.
Service will be Monday, July 20, 2020 at First Assembly of God, Walser Rd., Lexington at 1:00 PM with the Rev. George Beavers officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 -1 :00PM. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetary In Winston-Salem, N.C.
