Eddie Cecil Queen, 70 of Lexington died on February 6, 2023 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
He was born January 1, 1953, in Davidson County, North Carolina, to Homer Cecil Queen and Allie Bell Ensley Queen.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Joshua Queen.
Mr. Queen is survived by his wife, Jan Rana Tussey Queen, one son, Darius Queen (Leanna); three sisters, Shirley Grant (Lance) of Bryson City, NC, Shelby Miller of Wilkesboro, and Joan Blevins (Steve) of Lexington; four grandchildren, Joshua Queen, Harper Queen, Fisher Queen, and Holden Queen; along with a host of nieces and nephews and many close friends.
Mr. Queen was a graduated of North Davidson High School. He worked for 14 years in the textile industry. He was a member of Arrington Height Freewill Baptist Church in Lexington, where he served as a Deacon, youth teacher, and Sunday School teacher. He loved to play card games like rook and watch westerns. He was an avid bear and deer hunter as well.
A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 1:30 pm at Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church with the Pastor Doug McGee and Keith McGee, officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00pm to 1:30pm prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations or memorials be sent to Arrington Height Freewill Baptist Church Building Fund.
