E D Norman 92, of Lexington died on December 20, 2022 at Hinkle Hospice House.
He was born July 6, 1930 in Forsyth County to George Washington Norman and Agnes Holt Norman.
E D was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Arena Marie Norman, five brothers, two sisters, and one grandson Douglas Michael Norman, Jr.
Mr. Norman leaves behind two sons, Ken Norman, Douglas Norman, one daughter Judy Norman Younts, two brothers Albert Norman, Lige Holt “Jimbo” Norman, six grandchildren; Lee Felker, Brandon Shipton, Michael Norman (Michelle) Timothy Younts (Kenda), Karen Essick (Shane), Angie Norman and four great-grandchildren; Amber Wahl, Holly Louya, Bradley Felker, and Tabitha Swing, and seven great-great grandchildren.
E D worked in the Furniture Industry as a Sander for Dixie Furniture for thirty-five years. He was a member of Heaven’s Gate Full Gospel Church.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life service for Mr. Norman, on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 2pm at Heaven’s Gate Full Gospel Church, with a one hour visitation prior to the service at the church. Mr. Norman’s son, Rev. Ken Norman, will be officiating the service. Burial will take place after the service at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family request that memorials be made to Heaven’s Gate Full Gospel Church or maybe made to Hospice of Davidson County.
