Doris Allen Obituary
Ms. Doris “Jean” Hailey Allen, 71, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024 at Pine Acres Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lexington.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 16, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, 101 E. Park Ave., Lexington, NC 27292, with John Powell officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 pm Friday, prior to the service at the church.
Jean was born April 29, 1952 in Davidson County. She attended Davidson County Community College and was a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church.
Jean was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Elijah Hailey; mother, Lillie Mae Reid Giles; daughter, Cynthia Jean Leonard Roberts; 2 sons, Rodger Dale Leonard and James Everette Leonard Giles and 4 brothers, Roy Hailey, James Hailey, Samuel Hailey, Jr. and Howard Hailey.
Survivors include her son, David Samuel Leonard and his wife Lisa of Walkertown; 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Galilee Missionary Baptist Church.
