Donald Joe Swing

Donald Joe Swing age 87 of Lexington passed away July 1, 2021 at Accordius of Lexington. Mr. Swing was born was born June 12, 1934 to Cicero Swing and Sadie Elizabeth Swing of Davidson County.  He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed sitting in the swing and being outside. He also enjoyed golfing, deep-sea fishing, and Duke football.  Mr. Swing worked for Frank IX for forty years.

Mr. Swing was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, three brothers, Robert, Charlie, John Wayne Swing, four sisters, Frances Mcbride, Margaret Everhart, Ruth Beck and Hilda Meador.

He is survived by two sons, Randy Joe Swing (Amanda) and Don Mitchell Swing (Teresa), two grandchildren, Brooke, Buddy Joe, five great-grandchildren and a brother, Kenneth Butch Swing (Joyce) as well as the staff of Accordius Nursing Center and the friends he made while there.
