Deborah Sue Lanning Anderson, 64, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.
Deborah was born in Norfolk, Virginia on March 1, 1959, to the late Bobby Odell Lanning Sr. and Norma Sue Gibson Lanning.
Mrs. Anderson was a graduate of Lexington Senior High School and Rowan Community College where she earned her nursing degree. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Lexington Hospital. She was a member of God’s Saving Grace Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Donna Myers.
Those left to cherish her memory is her husband, Billy Joe Anderson Jr; one son, Brandon “Boo” Garrison (Emily); one daughter, Amanda Story (Jon); one step daughter, Crystal Hughes (Jimmy); one step son, Jason Anderson (Stephanie); one brother, Bobby Lanning II (Liz); four sister in laws, Sheila Clontz (Pat), Bonnie Wilkey (Lee), Wendy Hopper (Dearl), and Angela Anderson; nine grandchildren, Payton (Taylor), Jake (Makayla), Bryson, Corbin, Treyton, Brenson, Andren, Gracelyn, and Raylan; one great grandchild, Nolan, and their special companion, Pepper.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Davie Burial and Cremation Chapel in Lexington and a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023, at God’s Saving Grace Church in Lexington, at 12:00pm, with the Pastor Randy “Joe” Rose and Pastor Herman Powell, officiating. Internment will take place at Forest Hill Memorial Park immediately following the funeral service.
