Danny Dewey Hensley

Danny Dewey Hensley age 74, of Lexington, N.C. passed away August 18, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Hensley was born on April 10, 1946 in Scott County, VA, the son of the late James Bud Hensley and Vernie Jennings Hensley.

Mr. Hensley worked in the manufacturing industry as a machine operator for Lexington Furniture Plant 2 for twelve years. He was a graduate of Hilton High School in Virginia.  He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Lexington.

Danny enjoyed wood working, bluegrass, country, and gospel music, as well as, spending time with his family and friends.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, James and Vernie Hensley; three brothers, Jack Hensley, Duke Hensley, Charles Bowens; three sisters, Dot Winegar, Cora Langford, and Peggy Winegar.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Anita Carlene Murphy Hensley,  three sons, Bryan Hensley (Shirley) of Tyro, Al Woods and Dean Woods, both of Lexington;  five brothers; Perry Hensley, Lonnie Hensley, Emery Hensley, Jim Hensley, and Alfred Bowens, all of Lexington.
