Connie Sue (Asbury) Payne

   Connie Sue Payne 64, of Lexington, NC, went home to be with the Lord on December 1, 2022.

   Connie was born September 26,1958, the daughter of the late Coy James Asbury Sr. and Shelby Jean (Jobe) Asbury. She was also preceded in death by brothers Ricky, Ronnie, Terry, and James Asbury, a sister Sherry Asbury.

   In life Connie attended school in West Virginia. She was a homemaker and housewife who loved her grandkids, going to the Beach and Mountains. She Loved her Pepsi, and never met a stranger.

   Connie leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Virgil Payne, sons Kenneth Hagerman (Melanie), Virgil K. Payne (Diana), Wesley Hagerman, and Jesse Payne (Kristy, daughter Debra Hagerman, brothers Coy James Asbury Jr. (Jessica), Freddy Asbury (Marie), Sisters Lisa Baker (David), Tresia Woods (Henry), grandchildren Austin and Casey Hagerman, Nathaniel and Brianna Miller, Savannah Jo Hagerman, Tyson Payne, Destiny, Kayla, Lindsey, and Kenna Payne, Bryson, Cadence, and Cameron, Alyssa Hagerman, a great grandchild Nevaeh Payne, a host of Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.

   Visitation will be held Wednesday December 7, 2022, from 6:00-8:00PM, at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville, NC. A Visitation will be held on Thursday December 8, 2022, from 6:00-8:00PM at Jesus Church of Bartley, #3 Route 83 Bartley, WV. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM Friday December 9, 2022, at Jesus Church of Bartley. Burial Will Follow at White Mountain Cemetery.

   Pallbearers are Virgil K Payne, Nathaniel Miller, Austin Hagerman, Thomas J. Keene, Casey Hagerman, Tanner Giles, Ricky Hankins, Josh Phillip, Joshua Phillips.
