Charlotte Marie (Smith) Lemly

Charlotte Marie Smith Lemly, 75, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at the Hinkle Hospice House of Davidson County.

Charlotte was born in Catawba County, North Carolina, on July 5, 1948, to the late Homer Glenn Smith and Amanda Lucille Greene Smith.

Mrs. Lemly was a graduate of West Rowan High School and earned an Associates Degree from Davidson County Community College. She was employed with Dixie Furniture for 24 years, as a machine operator.   

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Donald Glenn Lemly.

Those left to cherish her memory is her three daughters; Karen Saunders, Kelly Ling, and Amy Lemly; two brothers; Randy Smith (Barbara) and David Smith (Tonya); two sisters; Libby Dugger (Joe) and Shirley Enlow; seven grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

The family will have a gathering of family and friends on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Davie Burial and Cremation Chapel, with a Celebration of Life service immediately following the visitation at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will also meet at others time at the granddaughter’s house at 170 Patricia Garden Lane, Linwood, NC 27299.
