Obituary
Burl Weldon Garner Jr of Lexington, passed away March 24, 2023 at his home with his family by his side.
Mr. Garner was born July 28, 1940 in Guilford County, North Carolina to Burl Weldon Garner Sr and Mattie Louise Murray Garner.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Barbara Martin.
Mr. Garner graduated from Bessemer High School, class of 1958. He worked for 20 years, with Maul Industries, as a tool and die maker. He served his country faithfully, by serving in the United States Coast Guard. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved being outdoors, enjoyed being at the lake and hunting. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Left to cherish his memory is a son, Dwayne Garner of Lexington; and one brother, Frank Garner of Kernersville.
The family will have a Celebration of Life Memorial Service, on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 2:00pm in the Davie Burial and Cremation Chapel of Lexington with Rev. Tim Sink, officiating. Family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service.
