Obituary
Burl Hoover Bowles, 95, of Lexington, North Carolina passed away July 1, 2023 at Hinkle Hospice House.
Mr. Bowles was born May 4, 1928 in Watauga County, NC to the late Claude Bowles and Maggie Story Bowles.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Bowles worked as a trucker driver and was a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Lola May Winebarger Bowles, one son, William Burl Bowels (Lisa); three grandchildren, Johnny Young (Bonnie), Shane Bowles and Chris Bowles; and three great grandchildren, Kamryn, Mayce and Ethan.
The family wanted to say a special thank you to all the staff at the Hinkle Hospice House for all their kindness and care giving to Mr. Bowles during his illness. The family request that memorials be made to the Hinkle Hospice House.
The family will have a graveside service for Mr. Bowles on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 11:00am at Forest Hill Memorial Park, with the Rev. Eddie Pless, officiating.
