Brian Kent Wilkes

Brian “Kent” Wilkes, 60, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at his home.

He was born October 22, 1961 in Forsyth County to Kenneth Lee Wilkes and Gay Nell Nifong Brown.

Kent was preceded in death by his wife Melissa Hubbard Wilkes, a brother Robert “Pete” Wilkes and his step-father Beauford Brown.

Mr. Wilkes leaves behind his mother Gay Nell Brown, a son Jeremiah Johnson Wilkes “BeBo”, a daughter Krista Whitman (Josh) “Pugsley”, a brother Kenneth Lane Wilkes, grandchildren Colton Everhart, Charleigh Wilkes and coming soon grandbaby Elias”Eli” Whitman.

He was in the construction industry and was a self employed Vinyl Siding Installer. He attended Davidson County Schools.  Mr. Wilkes was of the Baptist faith and attended Promise Baptist Church of Thomasville. He loved the mountains, fishing and being with his family. Mr. Wilkes was papa to everybody, helped everyone and loved by all.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Family request that memorials be made to Promise Baptist Church.
