Bernard Swing, age 77, of Lexington, N.C. passed away unexpectedly, January 6, 2021 at his home.
Mr. Swing was born on May 16, 1943 in Davidson Co. the son of the late Clarence Theodore Swing and Vannie Lois Smith Swing.
Mr. Swing was owner of Swing Fire Extinguisher Company for forty-four years. He attended Central Davidson High School, and he was a member of Second Reformed Church. Mr. Swing loved to deer hunt and was a member of the Old Hickory Hunt Club. He also enjoyed farming and spending time outdoors. He was a fan of the Carolina Panthers and Nascar Racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Vannie Swing., a son, Christopher B. Swing and a sister, Anita Hunsucker.
Left to cherish his memory is a brother, William T. Swing (Cass) of Chapel Hill. As well as, Tangela Jones and her family Roger, Kim, Johnny and Shea, who considered him a beloved member of their family.
Gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 1:00 – 2:00, at Psalms 91 church at 930 Michael Rd, Lexington, NC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00pm.
