Arena Marie Smith Norman, 93, passed away at her home on May 5, 2022, and entered into her heavenly home.
Mrs. Norman was born in Stokes County on October 14, 1928, to the late Lemley Macon Smith and Erna Fagg Smith.
She was a retired house cleaner. She was a graduate of Stokes County Schools and was a member of Heaven’s Gate Full Gospel Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Magdalene Mabe.
Those left to cherish her memory are a loving husband of 73 years, E.D. Norman, three children; Doug Norman (Toni), Judy Younts, and Kenneth Norman (Deborah), one sister; Evelyn Norman, four grandchildren; Michael Norman (Michelle), Angie Tuttle, Timothy Younts (Kenda) and Karen Essick (Shane), two great grandchildren; Amber Wahl and Holly Louya, two great-great grandchildren; Sidney Wahl and Riley Wahl, four step grandchildren; Kevin Lafferty, Sabrina Hayes, Brandon Shipton, and Leonard Felker (Tracey), two step great grandchildren; Tabitha F. Swing (Buddy) and Bradley Felker, four step great-great grandchildren; Bethany Felker, Ashlyn Felker, Paisleigh Swing, and Alana Swing.
Family will receive friends on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 12 pm to 1pm at Heaven’s Gate Full Gospel Church and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1pm following the visitation, with the Rev. Ken Norman, officiating. A committal service will take place at 2pm at Forest Hill Memorial Park, following the Celebration of Life Service.
