Alice Virginia (Hicks) Farmer

Alice Virginia Hicks Farmer, age 76 of Lexington passed away on August 24, 2021 at Trellis Hospice House in Winston Salem.

Mrs. Farmer was born in Watauga County, North Carolina on December 3, 1944, to the late Lewis Henry Hicks and Mary Alice Greene Hicks.  She attended Valley Cruses Schools. Mrs. Farmer retired from the Retail Industry, where she worked as a Manager for Food Lion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack Farmer, three brothers, Roger Hicks, Clyde Hicks and James Hicks, and two sisters; Gladys Cornett and Ada Presnell.

Left to cherish her memory is a son, Billy Punturi of Yadkinville, a daughter; Andrea Smith (Darryl) of Lexington, one brother; Johnny Hicks of Lexington, one granddaughter; Tiffany Smith Skeen (Ryan) and one great granddaughter; Rylynn Skeen, and a special pet named Coco.
