Wanda Mae Johnson, 80, passed away Wednesday morning, July 11, 2018, in the comfort of her home with her family by her side. She was a native of Davidson county, born May 9, 1938, to the late Bennett and Decie Coppley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Jackson Johnson, a son, Ted Johnson, and three sisters, Elvie Carick, Pheboe Shirley, and Viola Lookabill.
She attended Southmont School. She worked in the furniture industry for 25 years, and retired as a finisher from Young Hinkle. She attended High Rock Community Church.
Those left to cherish her memories are five sons, Ricky Johnson, Randall Johnson (Teresa), Mike Johnson (Vickie), Chris Johnson (Tonya), and Danny Johnson all of Lexington; a sister, Rachel Welch of Thomasville; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Tiffany, Tori, Gerrianne, T.J., and Brandon; six great grandchildren, Devon, Danta, Lexi, Eden, Halo, and Jackson. A special caregiver Haley Lane.
There will be a graveside service Forest Hill Memorial Park, on Monday, July 16, 2018, at 3:30 PM by the Rev.Mike Hillard.
