Shirley Jean Hollifield Turner, 62, native of Guilford County, passed away Wednesday morning, June 13, 2018, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents Lonnie and Lois Hollifield Sr., and a grandson, Dillon Lones.
She was a graduate of High Point Central, class of 1973. Shirley spent her life caring for her husband and her family.
Left to cherish her memory are husband of 45 years, William Turner Sr. of Lexington. A son Bill Turner (Christina) of Thomasville. Daughters Cheryl Gardner (Mark) and Tammy Oxendine, both of Lexington. Siblings: Lonnie Hollifiled Jr., of Butner, & Wanda Hancock (Bobby) of Thomasville. Surviving are six grandchildren, Miranda, Katelynn, Kaylie, Hannah, Logan, and Liam; and two great grandchildren Levi and Leland.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018, by Pastor Chris Simpson, in the chapel of Davie Burial & Cremation of Lexington at 6:00 PM. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
