Shirley Ann (Jones) McGee

Shirley Ann McGee, 73, died on December 8, 2019 at Lexington hospital in  Davidson County. She was born on May 31, 1946. She was a native of Davidson County, a daughter born to the Paul Jones and Jenna Mae Hopkins Kirk.

Shirley attended school the through the 9^th grade at Fair Grove School. She was a very proud homemaker, being married to her loving husband of fifty-nine years, Mr. David Allison McGee. Her favorite pastime was spent making memories with her children. More than anything she enjoyed being a loving mother to her children.

Those left to cherish her memory are husband, David McGee; a son, Randy Allison McGee of Denton; a daughter, Angela McGee Grubb (Jeff) of Rockwell; three brothers, Bobby Jones of Thomasville, Roger Jones (Sheila) of Asheboro, Ricky Jones (Sharon) of Lexington; a sister, Brenda Copley of Lexington; two grandchildren, David A. McGee II, and Brandi Lynn Doby (Bradley); two great grandchildren, Clayton Doby  and Randy McGee II.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Bright Light Freewill Baptist Church in Thomasville at 2:00 PM. For those who wish to pay their respects may do so one hour prior to the service. Interment will promptly follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville. Pastor Henry King will be officiating.
