Robert Wayne Noor
Robert Wayne Noor, 84, passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at The Hinkle Hospice House, Hospice of Davidson County. Robert was native of Muskegon, Michigan, born September 3, 1935. He was the son of the late John W Noor and Everdena Borgerding Noor. He is preceded in death by two brothers, John Noor, Bill Noor, a sister, Grace Eckman of Muskegon, Michigan and a grand-daughter, Brooke Bone Rechtin of Mount Pleasant, SC. He was a graduate of Western Michigan Christian School and enrolled in Calvin College until drafted into the US Army. He retired after fifty-two years from the Partnership/owner of Nordco Steel Drum and Cardinal Steel Drum, with his brother, John. He was also employed by the Lexington Police Department as a School Crossing Guard on North Main Street for many years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and attended Lexington Community Church faithfully until failing health. He watched In Touch every Sunday morning when he could no longer attend services.
He leaves behind his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Barbara Ann Biesecker Noor; three daughters, Julie Noor of High Point, Susan Noor Bone and husband, Stephen, and Melissa Garner, of Lexington. His sister Marva Guenther of Portland, Oregon. Sister-in-law Marlene Noor of Lacy's Springs, Alabama. Grandchildren, Rebecca Spainhour, fiancée Kevin Byerly, Sarah Michael, Robbie Michael, Meredith Huffman, and husband, Josh, Matthew Hedrick and fiancée Alicia Ferguson, Lana Bone of Los Angeles, California and Amanda Bone Butler and husband Justin of Winston-Salem, NC. He was greatly blessed with 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Jack Noor for being such a special nephew in Bob's life.

Through body donation he created a lasting gift; researchers and physicians may discover new treatment or cures for diseases, develop safer surgical procedures or learn more effective techniques for saving and improving countless lives.
A celebration of life service will be on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the National Cemetery in Salisbury with full Military Honors. Rev. Timothy Sink will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hinkle House in Lexington, North Carolina.
